About The Position

The Courier transports reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations as part of the patient care process. The role requires proper specimen handling, safe motor vehicle operation in varying weather and traffic conditions, and customer-focused interaction with a variety of clients. The Courier also supports safety, compliance, and quality control. The position is based in Tyler, Texas, is full-time and benefit eligible, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week on first shift. The role may involve incidental exposure to Protected Health Information; employees receive training on safeguards and must follow applicable privacy, confidentiality, and security standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
Ability to operate a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigate routine road hazards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints without close supervision.
Ability to perform light to medium lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience operating conventional vehicles for business purposes, including cars, trucks, and/or vans.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
