About The Position

The Courier provides day-to-day courier services for Atlantic Health System in a timely and professional manner. The role requires maintaining a flexible schedule and availability for overtime, special events, holidays, off-shift hours, and weekends as needed. Couriers must follow Atlantic Health System and Atlantic Ambulance policies and procedures, complete required training, and maintain required certifications and licenses.

The position involves completing assigned tasks efficiently, keeping current courier run sheets, arriving on time for scheduled stops, obtaining receiving signatures for boxes and packages, and completing daily vehicle cleaning and rig-check documentation. The Courier must wear the full uniform and visible ID badge, maintain a professional appearance, use an iPhone and basic technology, contribute to a team environment, and attend at least 50% of transportation staff meetings. The role also requires discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.

Requirements

• Clean New Jersey driver's license; CDL is optional.
• Ability to lift and pull at least 75 pounds.
• Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within four months of hire.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to mentor new employees.
• Ability to drive in all weather conditions.
• Ability to be discreet when handling sensitive or confidential information.
• Flexible schedule and availability for overtime, special events, holidays, off-shift hours, and weekends as needed.
• Familiarity with iPhone use and basic technology.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day courier services for Atlantic Health System in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete tasks and assignments efficiently and on time.
• Maintain updated courier run sheets monthly for assigned shifts.
• Wear the full uniform, visible ID badge, and key peg, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Clean vehicles inside and out daily.
• Complete and submit rig check sheets daily.
• Swipe in and out on time and arrive on time for routine scheduled courier stops.
• Obtain receiving signatures for all boxes and packages.
• Follow Atlantic Health System and Atlantic Ambulance policies and procedures.
• Complete required training and maintain required certifications and licenses.
• Use an iPhone and basic technology as needed.
• Contribute to a team environment and be willing to mentor new employees.
• Attend at least 50% of transportation staff meetings.
• Be available for overtime, special events, holidays, off-shift hours, and weekend hours as needed.
• Drive in all weather conditions and handle sensitive or confidential information discreetly.
