About The Position

The Courier delivers courier and interdepartmental mail and assists with stock clerk duties, including distribution and inventory management. The role delivers and receives clean and soiled items and coordinates, implements, and leads the daily patient transportation strategy to support safe operation of the patient transportation system. The position is represented by SEIU.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school education, GED, or equivalent.
• Associate's or technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver required items, maintain logs of all calls, and conduct vehicle safety inspections and maintenance.
• Support the clinical laboratory by dropping off and picking up incoming and outgoing laboratory specimens or biohazardous substances.
• Maintain and adhere to department and position quality and productivity standards.
• Ensure safe handling of materials and the general public while operating transportation.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Deliver courier and interdepartmental mail.
• Assist with stock clerk duties, distribution, and inventory management.
• Deliver and receive clean and soiled items.
• Coordinate, implement, and lead the daily patient transportation strategy.
