About The Position

Adventist Health Sonora is hiring a per diem Radiologic Technologist for the day shift. The role operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body portions as ordered by physicians. The technologist positions and instructs patients before examinations, adjusts x-ray equipment, and determines appropriate voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph. The position also performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, prepares equipment and examination rooms, monitors patient safety, documents exam information, and verifies exams on PACS.

Requirements

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification is required.
Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice is required in California and Hawaii.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy is required.
Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment is required in California within six months of hire.
Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification is required at the facility.
All required vaccinations, where applicable, are a condition of employment and are required annually thereafter; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in radiologic technology preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patient exams.
Monitor patients and ensure their safety during exams.
Produce diagnostic images and document exam information.
Report important information to the physician.
Verify exams on PACS.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
