About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier II to join its team in Raritan, New Jersey. This role is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The Courier II serves as a floater for the logistics team, covering routes as needed, and may assist with dispatch and pickups. A company vehicle is provided for route use; employees may choose to take it home and use it for personal purposes for $125 per month.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The role offers $17.75–$21.00 per hour and is eligible for a second-shift differential.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of driver or courier experience.
• Very punctual, with strong time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the physical demands of the position.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide as-needed coverage for various logistics routes as a floater.
• Provide on-route training for new couriers and drivers.
• Assist with dispatch and pickups when needed.
• Load the supplies needed for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher on additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
