About The Position

The Courier II transports reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations as part of the patient care process. The role requires proper specimen handling, safe vehicle operation in varied weather and traffic conditions, and customer-focused interaction with clients. The employee is expected to champion safety, compliance, and quality control. The role is based in Lubbock, Texas, is full-time, and has a first-shift schedule. It is benefit eligible. The position involves incidental exposure to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees receive training on safeguards and must follow applicable privacy, confidentiality, and security standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
• Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine road hazards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints without close supervision.
• Physical capability to perform light to medium lifting, up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience operating conventional vehicles for business purposes, including cars, trucks, and/or vans.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
