About The Position

The Courier II drives a vehicle and provides courier services for the Women's and Children's Hospital, picking up and delivering blood, specimens, supplies, and files. The role ensures timely and secure transport while maintaining the vehicle and providing courteous service to clients and staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid South Carolina driver's license.
Good time management skills.

Responsibilities

Transport specimens and parcels correctly to preserve their integrity.
Pick up and transport specimens and parcels promptly, with minimal delays.
Maintain custody of drugs during transport until delivery to the appropriate destination, ensuring chain of custody.
Learn all courier routes and assist with route rearrangement as needed.
Assess client requests and use good judgment to accommodate them within department guidelines.
Communicate positively, cordially, and courteously with clients and fellow staff members.
Monitor vehicle condition, report unsafe conditions or unusual noise or vibration, and complete accurate vehicle checklists.
Follow AnMed and department policies regarding attendance, breaks, lunches, and requests for days off.
Keep the vehicle's interior and exterior clean and presentable.
