About The Position

Sentara Health is seeking a full-time Courier I based at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia. The position is described as second shift, with one weekend per month. The courier picks up and delivers deposits, medications, equipment, supplies, X-ray films, laboratory specimens, letters, marketing materials, packages, and other items. The role also includes safely operating and maintaining a clean vehicle, keeping vehicle safety logs, requesting maintenance or repairs promptly, and tracking laboratory specimens, reports, supplies, and all barcoded items.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent certification, or one year of courier experience in lieu of high school education.
Driver license.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver deposits, medications, equipment, supplies, X-ray films, laboratory specimens, letters, marketing materials, and packages.
Operate the vehicle safely and keep it clean and well maintained.
Maintain vehicle safety logs and submit requests for vehicle maintenance or repairs in a timely manner.
Track laboratory specimens, reports, supplies, and all barcoded items.
