About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in Bloomington, Illinois. The Courier is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the route; for $125 per month, the employee may take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Be punctual and have strong time-management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Be able to problem-solve customer issues.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of driver or courier experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher to handle additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Provide excellent service to clients.
