About The Position

Cambria County Children and Youth Services is seeking a Social Services Aide I to provide essential support to caseworkers in helping families achieve established goals and objectives. This position assists with a variety of client-related and administrative tasks that contribute to the delivery of quality social services. Requirements

Graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Able to perform essential job functions.
Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist with obtaining and verifying information needed for determining client eligibility for social services
Plan, schedule, and conduct home visits or accompany professional staff, sharing observations and assessments
Observe families in maintaining home conditions, caring for children, and using public transportation
Provide information, referrals, and assistance in locating housing and community resources
Serve as a link between the agency and community organizations under the direction of professional staff
