Counter Sales Representative - Bethlehem, PA
About The Position
The Counter Sales Representative serves walk-in and phone customers at Cooper Electric Supply, LLC, helping customers place orders and select electrical products. The role enters sales orders, picks items from warehouse inventory, prepares sales tickets, and collects payments. It also maintains an organized, clean, and stocked counter area, works toward monthly sales and gross-margin goals, encourages customers to use digital tools, and prioritizes tasks throughout the day. The position operates in both retail and warehouse settings and includes physical activity and safe operation of powered industrial trucks, with training provided.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate information effectively and present solutions to customers.
- Ability to operate computers and relevant software.
- Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform duties.

Responsibilities
- Greet walk-in customers and assist with orders and product selection.

- Keep counter-area displays clean, organized, and stocked with inventory.

- Multitask and continually prioritize tasks throughout the day.
- Safely operate appropriate powered industrial trucks; training will be provided.
