About The Position

Echo Electric, a Sonepar-owned electrical distributor, is hiring a Counter Sales Representative. The role maintains product knowledge and promotes new products, assists customers throughout the sales and purchase process, and responds professionally to customer inquiries. It also supports warehouse functions as needed on a daily basis.

The representative uses ERP software to assist customers, tracks and fulfills sales orders, and helps maintain customer relationships. The role includes picking orders, preparing documentation, making follow-up calls, generating product stock requests, and helping maintain a positive, safe, and clean work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, as determined by Echo Electric.
• At least one year of experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
• Ability to communicate effectively, stay organized, and work within a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse, with or without accommodation.
• Basic problem-solving and computer skills.
• Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level, or commitment to complete the training within 18 months of starting the job assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software while maintaining a professional sales demeanor.
• Track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, creating appropriate documentation, and making follow-up calls.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships.
• Stay current on product knowledge and generate product stock requests.
• Promote new products and respond professionally to customer inquiries.
• Maintain positive working relationships and a safe, clean environment.
• Assist with warehouse functions as needed on a daily basis.
