About The Position

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Counter Parts Sales Rep provides service to customers by phone or in person, selling heavy-duty parts based on customer needs and parts availability to help generate profit for FleetPride. The role involves identifying and obtaining parts, supporting customers with product information and transactions, and maintaining an orderly counter and display area.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate.
Intermediate knowledge of Windows XP, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Active listening skills.
Effective communication skills.
Time-management skills.
Persuasion skills.
Service orientation.
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience selling heavy-duty automotive parts is preferred.

Responsibilities

Help determine and obtain heavy-duty parts requested by customers by phone or in person, and suggest related parts for a full-service sale.
Locate and obtain ordered parts for customers from the central warehouse or branch.
Determine sales prices in accordance with company procedures.
Handle warranty or defective parts in accordance with company procedures.
Write up approved charge sales in accordance with company procedures.
Special-order parts on an emergency basis when necessary and appropriate.
Process approved customer credits for returned merchandise.
Maintain confidentiality of pricing lists and structures as required by company procedures.
Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and product features.
Provide customers with current product catalogs.
Use non-selling and non-servicing time to study catalogs, review price sheets and bulletins, and learn about changes, additions, and deletions.
Keep the counter parts area clean and orderly and ensure display areas encourage sales.
