Oversees the day-to-day cost accounting activities for the COI plant. This role may be assigned to specific plant areas to analyze product cost, profitability, and recommend cost improvement needs. The Cost Accountant is responsible for conducting on-demand analysis of product cost and/or profitability, working in conjunction with the Plant Controller to ensure timely month-end reporting, and providing detailed P&L analysis. This position also involves preparing, auditing, and improving the creation of Profit and Loss (P&L) monthly statements, implementing capital expenditure processes, tracking payment plans, and assigning asset numbers. A key part of the role includes maintaining, reviewing, and auditing inventories such as finished goods, raw materials, work in process (WIP), tooling, and fixed assets. The Cost Accountant will partner with key internal customers, like operations, to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis, and evaluate/calculate inventory values for accurate cost roll-up. Additionally, this role is responsible for sustaining the ERP system cost accounting module to ensure system integrity, processing all Monadnock expenses for reimbursement, and assisting the Plant Controller with special projects. Adherence to 5S department procedures, including maintaining a clean workspace and organizing materials, is also required. All employees are responsible for complying with Federal, Local, and State government regulations, LISI Aerospace policies, and HSE Procedures, including attending all required training and immediately reporting any non-compliance or risky situations.
