About The Position

Oversees the day-to-day cost accounting activities for the COI plant. May be assigned to specific plant areas to analyze product cost, profitability, and recommend cost improvement needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year College or University in Accounting or equivalent degree.
  • Three or more years of cost accountant experience preferably in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of integrated accounting software.
  • Knowledge of database software.
  • Knowledge of internet software.
  • Knowledge of inventory software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing software.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts on-demand analysis of product cost and/or profitability.
  • Works in conjunction with the Plant Controller to ensure timely month-end reporting.
  • Provides detailed P&L analysis to the Plant Controller.
  • Prepares, audits, and improves the creation of Profit and Loss (P&L) monthly statements.
  • Implements all capital expenditure processes, tracks all payment plans, and assigns a number to the asset.
  • Maintains, reviews, and audits inventories including but not limited to; finished goods, raw materials, work in process (WIP), tooling, and fixed assets.
  • Partners with key internal customers (i.e., operations) to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis.
  • Evaluates and calculates inventory values to ensure accurate cost roll-up.
  • Responsible for sustaining the ERP system cost accounting module to ensure system integrity.
  • Processes all Monadnock expenses for reimbursement.
  • Assists the Plant Controller with special projects.
  • Follows all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organizing part pans, and performing other housekeeping duties.
  • Attends all required job-related training (internal and external).
  • All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
  • All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
