About The Position
Paul Mitchell The School Modesto is hiring a part-time Cosmetology Instructor, described as a Clinic Classroom Learning Leader. The instructor motivates, mentors, and coaches Future Professionals in technical skills and guest service excellence, creating hands-on learning experiences through objective-based education, mini-classes, and learning centers. The role uses Paul Mitchell curriculum tools and supports students’ growth through evaluations and educational assessments. A background check is performed for this position.
Requirements
- Active California Cosmetology License, current and in good standing.
- At least 2 years of industry experience, with a salon or cosmetology educational background.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to inspire, coach, and hold a room.
- Passion for teaching and helping others grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead Future Professionals through the full guest experience, from greeting and consultation to service completion, rebooking, and Take Home recommendations.
- Deliver mini-classes and learning centers using Paul Mitchell's objective-based education system.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain service quality, cleanliness, and state board sanitation standards.
- Promote product knowledge through the Take Home Recommendation program for the benefit of guests and students.
- Complete student evaluations, Service Tickets, and educational assessments to track and celebrate growth.
- Use Paul Mitchell curriculum tools, including Skill Cards and the 4-Step Program, to guide services.
- Model professionalism, passion, and artistry.
