About The Position
Paul Mitchell The School Salt Lake City is hiring a part-time Cosmetology Instructor/Teacher to motivate, mentor, and coach students in technical skills and guest service excellence. The instructor creates hands-on learning experiences through objective-based education, mini-classes, and learning centers. The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Active Utah cosmetology license in good standing.
- At least one year of industry experience in a salon or cosmetology education setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to inspire, coach, and lead a room.
- A genuine passion for teaching and helping others grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead students through the full guest experience, from greeting and consultation to service completion, rebooking, and take-home recommendations.
- Deliver mini-classes and learning centers using Paul Mitchell's objective-based education system.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain service quality, cleanliness, and state board sanitation standards.
- Teach product knowledge through the Take Home Recommendation program for guests and students.
- Complete student evaluations, Service Tickets, and educational assessments to track and recognize student growth.
- Model professionalism, passion, and artistry.
