About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing outstanding service and product knowledge to build and maintain customer relationships. The role involves selling the full assortment both in store and online, maintaining compelling merchandise presentation, and keeping the sales floor welcoming, friendly, and engaging. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice while putting customers’ needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop, and to distinguish colors.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.

Selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
