About The Position
The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing customer service and selling the store’s assortment both in person and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The advisor is welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keeps energy alive on the sales floor, and prioritizes customer needs. The position also involves merchandising and operational tasks and using technology to support sales and customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, and use color vision as needed.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
