About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent service and selling the store’s assortment both in person and online. The primary focus is to build and maintain client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor offers make-up application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The role calls for a welcoming, friendly, and engaged presence that keeps energy alive on the sales floor and puts customer needs first.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
