About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent customer service and selling the full assortment in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The position calls for a welcoming, friendly, engaged approach that keeps the sales floor energetic and prioritizes customer needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous selling experience required, preferably in cosmetics.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing and walking, reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds.
Color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
