About The Position

The Bloomingdale’s Cosmetics Beauty Advisor provides expert service and sells the store’s assortment both in person and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They are expected to be welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keep energy alive on the sales floor, and put customer needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; and use color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
