About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Cosmetic Beauty Advisors provide excellent service and sell the store’s assortment both in person and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while keeping merchandise presentation compelling. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They create a welcoming, friendly, and engaging atmosphere on the sales floor and put customers’ needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
May need to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, and use color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
