About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent service and selling the store’s assortment in person and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The Beauty Advisor provides makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They are welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keep energy alive on the sales floor, and put customer needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; and distinguish colors.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.

Previous selling experience in cosmetics.
