About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent service and selling the full assortment both in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The role calls for a welcoming, friendly, engaged presence that keeps energy alive on the sales floor and puts customer needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform prolonged periods of standing and walking around the store or department.
May need to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, and use color vision.
