About The Position
The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor at Bloomingdale’s builds and maintains client relationships by providing outstanding service and product knowledge, while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Advisors sell the full assortment in store and online, provide makeup application lessons and skin care consultations and treatments, and offer current trend advice. They create a welcoming, friendly, and engaging sales-floor experience that puts customer needs first. The role also includes merchandising and operational responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous selling experience.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create an easy, seamless, and enjoyable in-store experience while building and cultivating customer relationships.
- Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and using technology proficiently.
- Participate in merchandising and operational requirements.
- Provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice.
- Maintain compelling merchandise presentation and provide product knowledge.
