About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor provides expert service and product knowledge to help customers shop Bloomingdale’s cosmetics assortment in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, creating an engaging sales-floor experience, and keeping merchandise presentation compelling. The advisor also provides makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice while putting customer needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds. Color vision may be involved.
