About The Position

The Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent service and selling the full assortment in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while keeping merchandise presentation compelling. The Beauty Advisor provides makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The advisor is welcoming, friendly, engaged, and keeps the sales floor lively while prioritizing customer needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience; preferably in cosmetics.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, seamless, and enjoyable in-store experience while building and cultivating customer relationships.
• Drive sales with in-store and online clients by using technology proficiently.
• Participate in merchandising and operational requirements of the role.
• Provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and trend advice.
• Maintain compelling merchandise presentation and provide product knowledge and outstanding customer service.
