About The Position

Operate the buggy/transfer cart on tracks between machines to load machines and move sheet orders out. Pick up units of sheets or board from the corrugator machine and safely and promptly deliver the appropriate stock to the appropriate converting machines. The cart requires constant forward and backward movement, as well as moving units left and right between machine centers. Examine products for conformance to quality standards and complete required reports accurately and on time, including production, machine operational status, safety, and quality data. Duties and responsibilities may change or be expanded. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Knowledge of product quality specifications.
• Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be applied to efficient operation.
• Regularly lift, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Meet the position's physical demands, including regularly standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle or feel; frequently talking or hearing; and occasionally reaching with hands and arms.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of various material-handling equipment is an asset.
