About The Position

Responsible for safely operating and caring for the transfer car. The role involves delivering stock to the appropriate machines, maintaining orderly storage areas, completing inspections and paperwork, and supporting production schedules while following company safety and housekeeping policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Qualified to properly operate a transfer car.
Maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Able to read a tape measure quickly and accurately; calculate percentages, measurements, volume, and rate; and apply high-school-level math.
Able to use common-sense understanding to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions and address problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities, product layouts and production specifications, product quality specifications, and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
Prior work experience as a forklift operator.

Responsibilities

Operate and care for the transfer car safely; be qualified to operate it properly.
Complete and document a transfer car inspection form before the start of each shift and submit maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
Deliver appropriate stock to the appropriate machines safely and on time.
Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate stock locations in the storage area using paperwork and computer records.
Maximize equipment utilization by operating machinery at available capacity and speed.
Adhere to the daily production schedule and recommend schedule optimizations to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and good housekeeping.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
