This position is for a Corrector for the Accounting Information Systems Auditing course (ADM4346) during the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester at the Telfer School of Management. The primary responsibility is grading, with a total of 17 work hours allocated. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a lower rate, while graduate students will receive a higher rate. These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactive pay provided after ratification. The language of work is English. The position requires strong understanding of Accounting Information Systems Auditing, the ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear feedback, and the capacity to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently. A minimum C.G.P.A. of 6.0 and a minimum grade of A- in ADM 4346 or its equivalent are required, along with in-depth knowledge of both auditing and accounting information systems. Experience with online course delivery and online videoconferencing environments (e.g., Microsoft Teams) is considered an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with higher grades, those who have previously served as teaching assistants or markers for this course, and those enrolled in Telfer programs. Candidates on the shortlist may be interviewed. The posted hours may increase by 10% to 30% due to registration. Access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam is required. Contract hours may be reallocated among different tasks at the professor's discretion. The position requires the incumbent to be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course, including final exam grading and grade calculation. The method of teaching or working may change due to health or other reasons. All University of Ottawa employees must complete mandatory legislated training.
