About The Position

This position is for a Corrector for the Case in Accounting course (ADM4340) during the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester at the Telfer School of Management. The role involves marking midterms, case preparation charts, blogstart activities, and the Capstone Case Competition. The total expected work hours are 53, with an hourly rate of $30.53 for undergraduate students and $36.63 for graduate students. The position requires strong understanding of accounting, ability to apply grading rubrics, provide feedback, and manage workload efficiently. Candidates must meet a minimum CGPA of 6.0 and have a minimum grade of A- in ADM 4340 or equivalent, with a B.Com specialization in accounting. Experience with online course delivery and videoconferencing is considered an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with higher grades, previous experience as a teaching assistant or marker for this course, and those enrolled in Telfer programs. The work must be performed in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course. All university employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

Strong understanding of accounting
Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently
Minimum C.G.P.A. of 6.0
Minimum grade of A- in ADM 4340 or its equivalent
Candidate must have completed B.Com specialization in accounting
Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course
