The Paralegal serves as a key member of Wyyerd’s Legal Department, providing high-level support to the Associate General Counsel. This role manages a broad range of legal and compliance functions related to corporate governance, employment law, contracts, and risk management. The ideal candidate brings experience in corporate legal work, thrives in a fast-paced, evolving business environment, and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and judgment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of paralegal experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate law principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of contract structures and risk management processes.
  • Excellent research, drafting, and document management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and contract management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Unwavering discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or related field. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a corporate legal department or in-house counsel environment preferred.
  • Prior telecom, technology, or infrastructure industry experience preferred.
  • Experienced Notary Public is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support corporate activities, ensuring company compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and organize a wide variety of legal documents, including contracts, NDAs, corporate filings, and policies.
  • Conduct and summarize legal research on complex corporate, compliance, and telecommunication law topics for counsel review.
  • Manage contract lifecycle activities such as drafting, redlining, tracking, and maintaining executed agreements in the company’s repository.
  • Assist with entity management and corporate governance: maintain minute books, board materials, and state filings.
  • Serve as a contact for internal departments regarding routine legal and compliance requests.
  • Maintain tracking systems for legal matters, litigation, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with external counsel for litigation, discovery, subpoenas, or specialized matters as needed.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance legal operations efficiency.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
