About The Position

SMARDT is a global pioneer in oil-free centrifugal chiller technology with an expanding portfolio of thermal management solutions. We operate manufacturing facilities in the US, Canada, Germany, China, and Australia, with a team of over 900 employees. We are looking for a Corporate Marketing & Communication Coordinator to develop our department.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a corporate marketing, communications, or content role, ideally in a B2B or industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing and updating websites using a CMS (WordPress, Drupal, or similar); comfort working with a modern web stack (React-based or headless CMS) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience managing social media channels in a corporate or B2B context, including content creation and scheduling tools.
  • Experience managing external agencies or freelance creative resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent tools (Canva Pro, Figma)
  • Video editing capability using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, or similar - and/or experience managing video production through agency partners.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles including on-page optimization, keyword research, metadata, and analytics tools (Google Search Console, GA4, or similar).
  • Strong eye for detail, layout, and visual consistency.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar) for newsletter production and distribution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and strong follow-through.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours to accommodate coordination with teams across global time zones (Europe, Asia-Pacific).
  • Comfortable working across departments (HR, leadership, global teams) and adapting tone and content for different audiences and cultures.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, etc.) to enhance marketing workflows, with a willingness to experiment and bring new ideas.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required for trade shows, events, and cross-regional coordination
  • Ability to speak French with our team in Quebec
  • In a multicultural and international environment, a good command of English is necessary to interact with part of our clientele and international team.

  • Experience with employer branding or recruitment marketing content.

  • Event management experience, particularly trade shows or corporate events.
  • Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS or comfort navigating a React codebase for minor content edits.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Additional language skills, particularly German or Mandarin Chinese, given Smardt's operations with our teams in Germany and China.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Marketing Director in maintaining and enforcing brand governance across Smardt's global organization, ensuring consistency in visual identity, messaging, and tone across all CBUs, regions, and touchpoints.
  • Help manage and evolve Smardt's messaging architecture and value proposition framework, ensuring regional teams and stakeholders across Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific have clear, up-to-date positioning to work from.
  • Own the day-to-day management of the corporate website (built on a custom React stack), including content updates, page builds, asset management, SEO optimization, and coordination with developers or agencies on larger initiatives.
  • Manage Smardt's corporate social media channels, including content strategy execution, post creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance reporting - within the global social governance framework set by Corporate Marketing.
  • Create polished visual content - graphics, brand templates, presentations, event collateral, social assets - either directly or through the management of external creative agencies and freelance partners.
  • Produce or oversee the production of video content for employer branding, recruitment, corporate communications, and social media - handling projects hands-on where appropriate and managing agency partners for larger or more complex productions.
  • Plan, write, and distribute internal communications including newsletters, leadership updates, and company-wide announcements, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging priorities.
  • Support the planning and execution of global town halls, including content development, presentation materials, logistics coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate and support major events including global trade shows, product launches, grand openings, and customer experiences - managing logistics, collateral production, vendor coordination, and on-site execution in partnership with regional teams. Some international travel required.
  • Maintain, update, and distribute brand guidelines and related assets, acting as a go-to resource for teams across the global organization needing brand-compliant materials or guidance.
  • Support HR with communications-related projects such as onboarding materials, employee engagement campaigns, employer brand content, recruitment marketing, and corporate branding initiatives (office signage, environmental branding).
  • Assist with external communications including press releases, public announcements, executive profiling, and stakeholder messaging as directed by the Corporate Marketing Director.
  • Support ESG and sustainability communications by developing content and assets aligned with corporate positioning.
  • Track and report on engagement metrics across web, email, social, and search channels, providing insights that inform content decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Actively explore and integrate AI tools into marketing workflows — content creation, image generation, data analysis, reporting - to improve speed, quality, and scalability across Corporate Marketing's output.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners, ensuring quality, brand alignment, and timely delivery across projects.
