About The Position

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is offering a corporate Information Technology internship for Summer 2027 at its headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The internship is hybrid and begins in May 2027. The program is available in 3- or 6-month durations and offers on-site experience in a designated department, guidance from department leaders, sessions with senior executives, cross-department shadowing, interviews with senior leaders, a business-focused project, online learning sessions, and opportunities to connect with fellow interns. Pay is $18.50. Students are responsible for their own housing and relocation.

The intern will support the development of MVW’s enterprise data platform and modern, scalable data ecosystem. Working with Data Engineers and other team members, the intern will contribute to data pipelines and integration solutions, use Microsoft Fabric and other modern data technologies, and help ensure data quality through validation, transformation, and conformance activities. The role also includes day-to-day departmental support, project assistance, team participation, and gathering and analyzing data for projects, reports, and presentations.

Requirements

• Be actively pursuing a college degree at any level in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Technology.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have a passion for technology.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Python development and scripting.
• Experience with cloud platforms; Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Exposure to Apache Spark or distributed data processing tools.
• Knowledge of relational and modern database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of data integration, transformation, and pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with department-specific day-to-day operations.
• Support project planning and execution under the guidance of team members.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and feedback.
• Gather and analyze data to support projects, reports, or presentations.
• Contribute to the development of MVW’s enterprise data platform and modern, scalable data ecosystem.
• Partner with Data Engineers to design and implement data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Use Microsoft Fabric and modern data technologies to support platform capabilities and data accessibility.
• Perform data validation, transformation, and conformance activities to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Explore and apply emerging data technologies and industry trends to enhance platform performance and innovation.
