About The Position

Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP is hiring a Corporate Audit Associate for its expanding Corporate Audit practice. The group focuses on emerging to late-stage startups pursuing ambitious growth and exit strategies. Associates work directly with clients, including influential Silicon Valley companies, and provide audit services as well as operational insight to help clients address market challenges. The role offers opportunities to develop technical, professional, leadership, and interpersonal skills. The position is based from the San Jose office, with an expectation to work in person an average of three days per week. The group start date is early September 2027.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Master's program with a concentration in accounting.
• Have a final graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027.
• Meet educational requirements for California CPA licensure before the start date.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.2, with grades of B or above in accounting courses.
• Demonstrate clear, professional written and oral communication.
• Be authorized to work in the United States; the position is not eligible for sponsorship and the employer does not sponsor work visas.

Nice To Haves

• A higher GPA in the major is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings and engagement planning meetings.
• Participate in all phases of financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Assess the reasonableness of client financials through various testing procedures.
• Use analytical and technical skills to complete audit workpapers.
• Help clients prepare for and evaluate potential mergers and acquisitions.
• Exercise professional skepticism while prioritizing and completing tasks.
• Work with a diverse group of Audit professionals.
