About The Position
The Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE) is seeking qualified teachers for the Core French 4-9, FST 7 & 8, and Child Studies 9 positions. The SRCE is part of the public education system in Nova Scotia, established on April 1, 2018, to support student learning, achievement, well-being, and overall success. With approximately 1,166 employees, the SRCE operates 20 schools and 14 pre-primary programs, serving around 5,948 students and 375 pre-primary children. Located in northeastern Nova Scotia, the SRCE's jurisdiction covers Antigonish, Guysborough, Inverness, and Richmond counties.
Requirements
- Valid teacher certification for the Province of Nova Scotia.
- Methodology courses, experience, or practicum teaching in the subject area at the appropriate level for the competition.
- Excellent classroom and student management skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of technologies used to enhance instruction and learning.
- Knowledge and/or experience in implementing inclusive teaching and assessment strategies.
- High level of proficiency in both written and spoken French is required (approved through the SRCE French proficiency testing).
- Experience teaching Family Studies.
- Must provide at least three (3) work-related references, one must be your most recent supervisor.
- Must provide a current (within the last 6 months), and clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry prior to employment.

Responsibilities
