About The Position

This position is for a 2nd shift Cope Chop Saw operator. The role involves being part of a team responsible for chopping/staging parts for assembly, operating all equipment in the miter door cell, and moving material. The ideal candidate will be extremely safety conscious, have good housekeeping habits, and be detail-oriented to avoid scrap. They must meet all quality standards and production goals, and be willing to perform any other tasks required for the success of the department. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $18.69/hr, up to $21.14/hr.

Requirements

  • One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast-paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred
  • Work neatly (gluing and stapling doors) and meet quality standards
  • Two to three years of work experience
  • Knowledge of safe work practices
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and species
  • Ability to read a tape measure and caliper
  • Math and computer skills
  • Ability to read/write/communicate in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • May be required to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs as well as push/pull carts
  • Hand dexterity and strength
  • Overtime is required, including weekends sometimes with little or no advance notice
  • May be required to work a flexible schedule
  • Must report to work on a regular basis
