About The Position

This position is for a 2nd shift Cope Chop Saw operator. The role involves being part of a team responsible for chopping/staging parts for assembly, operating all equipment in the miter door cell, and moving material. The ideal candidate will be extremely safety conscious, have good housekeeping habits, and be detail-oriented to avoid scrap. They must meet all quality standards and production goals, and be willing to perform any other tasks required for the success of the department. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $18.69/hr, up to $21.14/hr.

Requirements

One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast-paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred
Work neatly (gluing and stapling doors) and meet quality standards
Two to three years of work experience
Knowledge of safe work practices
High School diploma or GED preferred
Must be able to distinguish colors and species
Ability to read a tape measure and caliper
Math and computer skills
Ability to read/write/communicate in English
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision
Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
May be required to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs as well as push/pull carts
Hand dexterity and strength
Overtime is required, including weekends sometimes with little or no advance notice
May be required to work a flexible schedule
Must report to work on a regular basis
