About The Position

Kolostat, a multidisciplinary team specializing in building mechanics and industrial/commercial HVAC systems, is seeking a Communications Coordinator. With a history dating back to 1927, Kolostat merged with Krome in 2022 to enhance its expertise in design-build projects. The company is committed to environmental preservation and clean technologies, operating from offices in Laval, Montreal, and Toronto, and undertaking projects across Canada. The Communications Coordinator will collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Business Development teams, acting as the company's communications lead and providing administrative support. This role requires regular presence at the Montreal office with occasional travel to Laval to ensure smooth communication and a consistent professional experience.

Requirements

  • Training in communication (technical or bachelor's degree)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bilingualism in oral and written French and English (English is used as needed to communicate with clients, suppliers, and affiliates in Ontario)
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office Suite and graphic design tools (Canva, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and priority management skills
  • Very good writing skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support marketing initiatives (campaigns, events, sponsorships, promotional tools)
  • Manage the full content lifecycle: creation, review, approval coordination, and dissemination (visuals, presentations, corporate documents, internal communications)
  • Manage and animate social media platforms
  • Collaborate with external partners, including the digital marketing consultant
  • Contribute to the review and optimization of service offerings and client proposals
  • Plan and coordinate the continuous training schedule for engineers and other professionals
  • Manage and update the corporate events calendar
  • Coordinate the logistical organization of events (registrations, travel, follow-ups)
  • Support Human Resources in organizing internal activities and the social committee
  • Contribute to the onboarding and integration of new employees at the Energy division office
  • Provide support for daily operations and participate in the smooth administrative and organizational functioning of the Energy division office
  • Perform any other related tasks
