About The Position

The Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards and ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement, a clean and organized store, and exemplary customer service. The Coordinator organizes truck deliveries and merchandise flow to the sales floor, trains and mentors Associates, monitors team productivity, and helps maintain backroom organization, merchandising, signage, safety, and compliance standards. The position also supports store shrink reduction, credit and loyalty programs, and effective communication with management and Associates.

Requirements

One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience and role model exceptional customer service.
Orchestrate truck deliveries and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and reprioritize as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
