Hourly Full Time Coordinator
About The Position
The Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement, store cleanliness, organization, and exemplary service. The Coordinator orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes merchandise processing onto the sales floor, while communicating with the Coordinator on Duty and management to support the efficient flow of goods and address priorities. The position also trains and mentors Associates, monitors team productivity, and supports store operations, safety, compliance, and shrink-reduction goals.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- At least 6 months of leadership experience.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Capable of multitasking.
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to train others.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
- Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
- Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates, and provide progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
