About The Position

This role involves leading and supporting the Pilgrim's Management Method, and leading projects. The Coordinator of Operational Excellence will live and reinforce safety in all activities, serve as the Pilgrim’s Management Method subject matter expert for assigned facilities, and function as a business partner with each Method Pillar. The position is responsible for proactively working with facility management to identify and assess KPI gaps, and lead projects to closure through the use of Operational Excellence tools and methodologies. The role also includes delivering effective Management Method training and demonstrating ownership of core tools such as 6S, Standard Operating Procedures, Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis, and Kaizen Events. The Coordinator will lead gap-closure projects, own project success, update and analyze key metrics, and lead self-assessment audits for Management Method.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree, (Prefer engineering, science, or business focus)
  • 2 - 5 years manufacturing industry experience (preferably in poultry)
  • At least 1 year in Pilgrim’s
  • Background in ZBB or production
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel user
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Good internal relationship skills

  • Teaching and coaching skills
  • Hands-on mentality
  • High level of business acumen
  • Lean Methodology including Waste reduction experience

  • 6 Sigma Green Belt or higher (desired)

  • Demonstrates ownership of core tools 6S Writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures Statistical Process Control Root Cause Analysis Kaizen Events
  • Leads gap-closure projects and owns project success
  • Update and analyze key metrics for the assigned complex or business unit
  • Leads self-assessment audits for Management Method
