About The Position

The Coordinator, Materials ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules. The role collects and analyzes information on current orders, production levels, and sales forecasts to estimate future material demand. Working in a shop environment, the coordinator tracks inventory, parts, sub-assemblies, and shipments; supports engine and module production; and coordinates with production staff, support shops, the warehouse, engineering, customer service management, and supply chain teams.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of general work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Comfortable leading others.
General knowledge of typical business practices.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Fluent in written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

Review production schedules and coordinate with the lead coordinator to determine material requirements and track materials and sub-assemblies for assigned modules or engines, ensuring parts are available for scheduled engine builds.
Coordinate and expedite the movement of materials, parts, and assemblies between support shops and warehouse stock rooms according to production priorities.
Maintain computerized production-priority records, including the PO Report, and update inventory status by module and location, including the status of in-process materials and sub-assemblies.
Work with Front End Inspectors to identify and list consumables needed for assigned engines or modules.
Collaborate with leads and technicians throughout the day to verify that issues have been addressed.
Calculate material quantities needed to complete work orders based on available stock, engine or module knowledge, stock status, and manufacturing processes.
Review support-shop entries in Quantum to identify and document scrap or repairable-part fallout, verify stock availability, and generate purchase requisitions when parts are unavailable.
Generate requisitions and order consumables and materials for assembly and support shops.
Update the PO Report daily before the end of the shift, maintaining the required consistent format and coloring.
Review engine PDS and engineering-released WS documents for LLP or module replacement, and check OSD for shortages.
Coordinate with CSM and supply chain regarding customer parts requiring replacement and obtain approvals in a timely manner.
Ensure outbound modules from the Blue Tag stock room are kitted before release to mechanics.
Ensure modules transferred from the Blue Tag warehouse to production shops are transacted correctly in Quantum by scanning them out of stock and into their final location upon delivery.
Inspect materials delivered to mechanics for conformance to specifications and verify that parts supplied for assembly have matching Blue Tags and appropriate documentation.
Issue materials to technicians once they are installed at a sub-assembly or final-assembly stage of the engine.
Monitor outgoing parts racks and control the movement of materials to their next destinations, coordinating with Parts Movers as needed.
Review Quantum to verify stock status and identify overdue materials.
Coordinate with supply chain and logistics on shipments of modules to external repair shops, tracking shipment and module status and estimated arrival times.
Ensure consumables are pre-kitted and pre-drawn before delivery to mechanics.
Return unused consumables, hardware, and parts to the stock room for restocking when returned by technicians.
Coordinate the return of scrap materials to the stockroom for proper disposition.
