About The Position

The Coordinator, Marketing & Community supports the San Jose Giants’ marketing, community outreach, and fan experience efforts at Excite Ballpark. The role helps develop and execute the strategic marketing plan, maintain brand standards, create content, coordinate promotions and theme nights, and support game-day and other stadium events. It also works across departments to market non-traditional assets and opportunities, and represents the organization professionally in the community and at the ballpark.

Requirements

At least three years of marketing or community experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Creative and analytical thinking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with a passion for the sports industry.
Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask.
Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and attend community outreach initiatives, including appearances by team mascot Gigante, the Promo Team, and the Donation program.
Contribute to the fan experience at Excite Ballpark through content creation and oversight of mid-inning activities.
Work with the Marketing Team to develop, initiate, and create the strategic marketing plan and maintain brand standards.
Assist with game-day preparation, including pregame setup, postgame stadium breakdown, between-inning promotions, and other game-day responsibilities.
Work with ticket sales, corporate partnerships, retail, and business development to market non-traditional assets and opportunities.
Assist in managing the Excite Ballpark experience, including the game script, music, video board, press box, and in-game entertainment.
Assist in developing the promotional and theme calendar for all home games at Excite Ballpark.
Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner.
Be available to push or pull the tarp and set up Excite Ballpark for necessary events.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by Leadership.
