Goodwin is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and solutions-minded individual to join our innovative Learning & Professional Development (L&PD) team in the role of Coordinator, Learning & Professional Development. The Coordinator will report to the Director, Learning & Professional Development and will work closely with L&PD team members across the firm to support learning initiatives that enhance the professional growth and effectiveness of attorneys and business services professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or other undergraduate degree required.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of prior law firm, corporate, or professional services experience preferred.
  • Experience with learning management systems, viDesktop, and/or Micron CE Manager a plus.
  • Excellent computer and technical skills including familiarity with common applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to adapt to new software.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills; excellent attention to detail.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface professionally, courteously, and confidently with internal and external clients.
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work on multiple projects with changing priorities with appropriate oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and help plan core attorney and professional staff trainings (both in-person and virtual), including developing and implementing project plans.
  • Manage logistical matters for programs/events, such as budget management, contract management, calendar management, creation and distribution of invitations, securing room reservations, catering management, and preparation of program materials.
  • Coordinate ongoing professional development programs, including feedback survey design, data tracking, and program administration.
  • Collaborate with L&PD Managers and Directors to research, develop, and implement new training programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with the administration of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course accreditation and compliance, including managing the firm’s video library, form creation and circulation, and attendance tracking.
  • Coordinate the administration of firm policies as needed.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other administrative departments on L&PD programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate the administration of the department budget, including tracking expenses against budget for attorney and professional staff budget accounts.
  • Assistance with various ad hoc L&PD team initiatives and projects, including PowerPoint, Excel, and SurveyMonkey projects.
  • Other administrative support for the L&PD team as required.
