Summary/Objective The Learning & Development Coordinator identifies, develops, and delivers training that supports organizational priorities, compliance, and employee growth.

Requirements

  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to deliver training and provide instruction.
  • Applies a "solutions-oriented, servant leadership" approach to addressing training needs and supporting staff.
  • Maintains ethical practice standards and upholds organizational values.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills by effectively prioritizing tasks, managing multiple deadlines, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consistently demonstrates behaviors aligned with servant leadership and the organization’s cultural values.
  • A bachelor’s degree or 2 years of equivalent experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must either be certified as a trainer or be able to obtain and maintain valid certifications as a trainer for Mental Health First Aid, MANDT
  • If not certified as a trainer, certification needs to be obtained within: 6 months of hiring for: Mental Health First Aid MANDT

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field
  • Two years of experience in the non–profit sector
  • One to two years of program management experience in the non-profit sector

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain organizational training curriculum aligned with operational needs, compliance requirements, and staff development goals.
  • Facilitate organizational training programs, including but not limited to MANDT, Mental Health First Aid, and CPR/First Aid.
  • Leverage the organization’s learning management system to build, assign, monitor, and report on training completion and effectiveness.
  • Travel as needed to deliver in-person training and support learning initiatives across organizational locations.
  • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing coordination of the organization’s career pathways program.
  • Ensure all training activities are accurately tracked, documented, and uploaded into VOANR’s learning management system in a timely manner.
  • Track training data and information to monitor training progress and identify any trends in training retention and comprehension.
  • Act as a backup to the front desk as needed.
