The ESPN Research & Analytics team utilizes all facets of media research and first party internal data (Nielsen, comScore, Adobe Analytics, etc.) to inform ESPN as well as the larger Walt Disney Company on how sports and related content and products are performing and how the ESPN business can drive even greater consumption in the future. The ESPN Research team is part of the larger ESPN Finance, Strategy and Research Group, a group of world-class professionals managing and analyzing all aspects of ESPN businesses and providing tactical insights that drive our businesses forward. The Digital Research & Analytics Coordinator supports the ESPN Digital Research & Analytics team by contributing to the collection, organization, reporting, and quality assurance of audience and performance data across digital and cross-platform products. This entry-level role is designed for individuals early in their analytics or research careers who are eager to learn how data and insights are used to inform business, content, and product decisions across ESPN and The Walt Disney Company. The Coordinator will report to the Manager, Digital Research & Analytics, and has a dotted-line relationship to the Director of Data Innovation, whose mandate is to enhance data capabilities and accelerate the use of AI across the research organization. The ideal candidate is curious, highly detail-oriented, and eager to improve how research is done—not just execute it. This person is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, identifying opportunities to streamline or automate workflows, and contributing ideas that improve dashboards, reporting efficiency, and analytical sophistication. A strong interest or background in data analysis, dashboarding, and emerging AI tools is essential.
