About The Position

The Coordinator Clinical Specialist oversees the nursing plan of care for patients within the assigned specialty, ensuring that it meets patients’ physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs. The role directs patient care through direct performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel and coordinates care through appropriate use of staff, equipment, supplies, and other resources. As an expert in the assigned specialty, the Coordinator Clinical Specialist serves as a resource for medical center staff and physicians.

The position demonstrates leadership through clinical practice, supervision, teaching, and research. It also encourages self-directed work teams and collaborates with care team members to support continuity and quality of patient care and productive employee relations.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan or a certified cardiovascular technologist.
• At least 2 years of related unit experience (Cardiovascular, Cath Lab).
• At least 2 years of demonstrated leadership performance.
• Demonstrated team-building skills and experience with self-directed work teams.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in the unit specialty organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a health care field, or an equivalent degree/certification.
