About The Position

The Cooker Operator is responsible for operating PLC-controlled machinery and monitoring pumps and grinders to support quality assurance. The operator runs the cooking process within selected parameters, documents plant operations according to the GMP program, and alerts the shift manager to issues or maintenance problems. The role also involves maintaining a safe and controlled work manner, cleaning floors and machinery, attending required safety meetings, and performing other duties as assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Work well with others in a team environment.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience.
• Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work in a safe and controlled manner.
• Blow grease lines as required.
• Clean floors and machinery, including shoveling, hosing, and using wheelbarrows and PITs.
• Operate the cooking process within selected parameters.
• Document plant operations according to the GMP program.
• Notify the shift manager of issues or maintenance problems.
• Attend all required safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Operate PLC-controlled machinery and monitor pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance.
