About The Position

The meat process operator controls the cooking process from hydrolyzing the product to a finished product. This role involves operating machinery that processes meat into meal and transferring hydrolyzed meal to storage. The position is full-time, working the A (1st) Shift, Sunday through Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday is primarily scheduled for maintenance, housekeeping, and training. Shifts are subject to periodic rotation every 8 weeks. Requirements

  • Must have 3 months of work history with one employer within the last 2 years listed on the application.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Must be able to obtain a PIT license.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Hydrolyzing raw Meat and blood.
  • Sizing.
  • Running the Machinery that processes the meat into make meal.
  • Transferring of hydrolyzed meal to storage.
  • Keep work area clean and free of clutter(housekeeping).
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment(PPE).
  • Using correct tool for each job assignment.
  • Report injury of oneself or coworker to management.
  • Report job hazards immediately (correct immediately when possible) and document.
  • Inspect all tools and materials for defects and safety issues.
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
